YOU GOT THIS! Teen Parent Summit is a transformative, one-day event designed to educate, empower, and uplift teen parents ages 13 – 20 across the Houston area. With intention and heart at its core, the summit will welcome 100 – 150 young parents and their children for a day of interactive workshops, wellness experiences, motivational speakers, and community-building. It’s more than a conference, it's a celebration of resilience, potential, and hope.

Teen parents are not just navigating parenthood they are growing into tomorrow’s leaders. But leadership doesn’t happen in isolation. It takes a village. As part of that village, we share a collective responsibility to ensure these young parents have access to quality education, essential resources, and a supportive community that believes in their potential. With the right guidance and opportunities, teen parents can overcome barriers, break generational cycles, and build lasting legacies for their families and communities.

In 2023, Harris County recorded 3,334 teen births among individuals aged 10 – 19, 49% higher than the national average and slightly above the Texas rate. Many of these young parents face significant challenges, including poverty, limited access to childcare, and barriers to completing their education. Without targeted support, these families are more likely to remain trapped in cycles of economic instability.
