Empowering teen moms
Some of our teen moms were invited to spend a day away from their everyday routines to relax, unwind, laugh, eat, talk, and Paint with a Slushie Twist. Each one left with a smile on her face, her newfound creative work and a self care package in her hands.
Lovie's Pearls awarded 5 scholarships this year! That's a total of $5,000 towards higher education for our teen moms. We are so proud of them as they continue to strive for SUCCESS!!!
Our hole 'n one grand prize was $10,000 and our golfers were ready to take a swing at it! A special thanks to Dominique Williams for being our official witness, and 7th Made Studio (J McNair) for capturing the competition!
Self-Care Day was a success! Our moms got a chance to get away, relax, eat and converse, laugh, reflect, ask questions, eat some more, and hang out with each other, bond and have a good time. Some great conversations relating to healthy mindsets, establishing goals, being successful and making dreams come true.
As part of the Stand Up for Texas Schools, on July 10, 2023, Lovie’s Pearls was honored by the Klein ISD School Board Superintendent and Trustees as an exemplary community partner for our work with the Parenting Education Program to empower their teen mom students along their journeys to success!

Lovie's Pearls was honored by Klein ISD Health Services Department for the work we do with their students who are teen moms. It was a great dinner and we met some wonderful people who are also serving the Klein Schools, students and faculty. Special thanks to Dr. Pamela Ogletree for trusting her students wit us and continually shining a light on Lovie's Pearls!
Leah is the daughter of former teen mom, Melissa. She shares her experiences being raised by a teen mom and how Melissa helped her to not become a statistic. Leah was married in 2022 and works in the healthcare and sleep care industries.
Emily shares her journey as a teen mom who went on to get married, have more sons, become an Educator, a grandmother, and is now pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Education Leadership, Administration and Policy.
Jamie shares her journey from teen mom to successful Registered Nurse (with MANY credentials), loving wife, and fabulous grandmother.
Tanisha shares her journey from teen mom, to a career in the health care industry, to freelancing in graphic design, to proud mother of 3, and now an amazing grandmother.
Shandra shares her journey as a teen mom, her struggles and successes. She's a three- time best selling author, award winning motivational speaker, podcast host, founder of Ruby's Global Coaching & Consulting LLC, and sassy grandmother.
